3+3 tips, Let’s have unforgettable trips in Montreal and Quebec!

Overwhelmed by the school assignments and presentations?

Hard to figure out a period of holidays to visit other famous cities in Canada?

Want to visit as much as you can while spend the least money on trips?

Here are some advices to visit all the famous spots in Montreal and Old Quebec City.

I will highly recommend to rent a car during the trip. However, if you are not allowed to drive cars in Canada, visit #Busbud to buy the cheapest bus ticket!

For me, I got tickets which are both CAD 25 from Ottawa to Montreal and from Montreal to Quebec!

#Busbud is a website that you can see all the prices and bus companies.

https://www.busbud.com/en

#Busbud

Montreal

It’s convenient for visitors to travel in Montreal since you can visit all the spots by metro or buses!

In that case, I will highly recommend to buy a 1day pass (CAD 10) or 3day pass (CAD 19). With the day passes, visitors can take the buses or metro unlimited times.

Fantastic Laser Show- Basilique Notre-Dame de Montréal

Basilique Notre-Dame de Montréal

Address: 110 Rue Notre-Dame Ouest, Montréal, QC H2Y 1T2

Web: https://www.basiliquenotredame.ca/en/

Tip 1: I will highly recommend to visit here in the evening and watch the fantastic laser show!!!

In the evening, the basilica will be decorated with beautiful lights outside!

And, if you want to, enjoy the music around in the basilica with the colorful laser lights! (tickets required)

The most beautiful night view in Montreal- Mont Royal

Mont Royal

Transportation: take metro to Mont-Royal station, and take the bus #11 west to Remembrance / Chemin du Chalet (53745)

Remembrance / Chemin du Chalet (53745)

Tip 2: After getting off the bus, visitors still have to walk on a small trail to the lookout

(see where people are coming from, and that is the way XD)

My friend and I just asked someone and followed others to find the lookout place.

I have to admit that it is the most amazing and breathtaking night view I have ever seen.

The lookout is really wide, visitors can enjoy the 180 degree night view and be astonished by the city view in Montreal.

Classic feelings in town- Old Montreal

The spots in Old Montreal are near. Instead of taking public transportations, walking and relaxing by the leisure atmosphere can feel and explore this classic place more.

The spots here include City Hall, Place Jacques-Cartier, Old Port, Bonsecours Market, and Chapelle Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours. They are quite nearby.

Tip 3: I would highly recommend to walk in Old Montreal in the evening. During the night time, every building is lightened up. In my opinion, compared to what they look like in the daytime, it’s more beautiful and romantic with the lights on them at night.

City Hall, Place Jacques-Cartier, Old Port, Bonsecours Market, and Chapelle Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours,這幾個景點的距離都不遠。

Quebec

If you have a dream as me that to be a princess or prince in a castle, Quebec is the best choice for you to visit. There still remain gates and castles from the past time. While walking, it is usually to see a carriage pass by you.

Tip1:

Walk, feel, and discover everything in this cute city.

Old Quebec City is quite small but pretty. Every store here is well decorated, they are all small, beautiful, and colorful. Visitors can see all the famous spots by foot only, such as Porte St. Louis, Basilique-cathédrale de Notre-Dame-de-Québec, Château Frontenac, Ville de Québec, and Citadelle of Quebec.

After taking the cable car, visitors can also see Royal Palace and Notre-Dame-des-Victoires through walking on Petit-Champlain, which I think is the most beautiful street in Quebec. When I visit there, there are a lot of Christmas decorations on the street. And all the stores are so elaborate that the scene impressed in my heart clearly and deeply. Walk a little bit to the river, Old Port is just in front of you.

觀光客只需透過步行的方式就能逛完所有的景點,像是 Porte St. Louis, Basilique-cathédrale de Notre-Dame-de-Québec, Château Frontenac, Ville de Québec, and Citadelle of Quebec。

Notre-Dame-des-Victoires

Tip2:

The best place to see the St Lawrence River and Levis- Terrasse Dufferin!!!!

Picture time!

Tip3:

Don’t forget to come back to Old Port again in the evening, and look at the St Laurence River from Quebec. When the sky is dark, the beauty of the lights across the river is too beautiful to express only by words.
